This hard-back journal features an original marbled paper on its covers. All our marbled papers and books are carefully handmade in our south London studio.

The paper for this journal was marbled with a Blue, Gold & Copper colourway, available in the indicated patterns below. Lucy McGrath, founder of Marmor Paperie, drew inspiration for this colourway from the beauty of the ocean; deep and relaxing blues flow along glittering gold and copper veins.

Durable

We use acrylic paint for its durability and brightness. The paint won’t rub off or dissolve but, because we don't use mass-manufacturing treatments, the papers are not coated. We recommend keeping them away from water where possible to avoid warping or bubbling.

Every item is unique

All our products are made using original marbled papers, individually made by hand in our studio in London. Marbling is a process combining print-making, science and art, made by floating paint in a tray of thickened water and transferring it onto paper.

This means no two books are the same - so yours may not perfectly match the photos but it will be just as beautiful.
