Join us at Cockpit Studios' purpose-built workshop space for a morning or afternoon (or full day!) of marbling magic.
These sessions are untutored; designed for those who've completed our Introduction to Marbling workshop and want to spend some time experimenting and making beautiful papers at their own pace.
No need for time-consuming preparations or messy clean-up, these sessions allow you to drop in and start marbling, with all the equipment and materials you could need on hand to allow you to let loose and get creative.
Each 3-hour slot is assigned to a single marbling station, which you can upgrade from the standard A4 size to a larger A3 format.
When you arrive, you will be shown to your marbling station and given a brief tour of the space.
All the tools and equipment you will need, including mordant solution, paint and various combs, will be ready for you and there will be a Marmor Paperie staff member on hand to assist with mixing paint and troubleshooting.
You can then get busy marbling and making lots of your own beautiful papers - make as many as you want within the time slot and hang them to dry on our airers. They will be too wet to take away at the end, so we will post them to you the next working day.
It's up to you whether you want to share your tray with a friend or have it all to yourself - just let us know your group size in the drop-down above so we can make sure we supply enough materials. Additional guests sharing a tray are £5 each.
Children aged 8 and above are welcome to participate, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you can no longer attend the session, please contact us to let us know at least 7 days before the event for a full refund or rebooking onto a suitable date.
