This lined A5 notebook is covered with striking original marbled paper featuring rich shades of red with accents of shimmering gold. The colours have been drawn through in a pattern reminiscent of interlocking feathers, which captures both the organic shapes of the paint as it sits on the water and a sense of movement that stretches across the book's cover.

This original marbled paper was created by Marmor Paperie's founder, Lucy, in our London studio. This is a special one-of-a-kind notebook as we only made a single paper in this design so, whilst every piece of paper is slightly different, this notebook is extra unique!

Marmor Paperie's maker mark is debossed in the back in gold foil.

Each book contains 240 pages (120 leaves), made from ivory-toned, acid-free Italian paper, with a choice of subtle narrow lines or blank pages.

All our books are constructed by hand using thick greyboard for sturdy, quality covers.

Pocket journals: 9.5cm x 13.5cm x 1.6cm
A5 journals: 21.5cm x 15cm x 1.9cm

We use acrylic paint for its durability and brightness. The paint won’t rub off or dissolve but, because we don't use mass-manufacturing treatments, the papers are not coated. We recommend keeping them away from water where possible to avoid warping or bubbling.

Every item is unique

All our products are made using original marbled papers, individually made by hand in our studio in London. Marbling is a process combining print-making, science and art, made by floating paint in a tray of thickened water and transferring it onto paper.

This means no two books are the same - so yours may not perfectly match the photos but it will be just as beautiful.

add an extra personal touch

We use hot-foil stamping to add your choice of words onto the cover of your item. Use the live preview feature to help select the positioning and foil colour for your personalisation.
